Holly

Hastings’ Yaupon

Ilex vomitoria “Yaupon Holly”

This upright small evergreen tree or large shrub has small grey-green, leathery leaves densely arranged along smooth, stiff, light grey branches. Often clipped into a tight hedge, Hastings Yaupon holly is ideal for training into a small tree with lower branches removed to reveal the interesting-contorted multiple trunks. Hastings Yaupon also makes great topiaries, espaliers, specimens, screens, or barriers. They produce brilliant bright red berries that are attractive to wildlife.
